The Real nature of Talent – Part 2 – Defining this mind ability

This article is the second of a series.

The goal of this article is to clearly define what is this particular MIND ABILITY.

 

So what kind of mind ability?

If it’s a mind ability, it’s a thought process.

thought process?

Then, a conscious one or a subconscious one?

To me it’s kind of obvious, but I invite you to think about it for a second or two before continuing.

 

When people say about other people they are talented in something, usually does it support the idea

he/she needs a lot of time / efforts to come with this solution (idea, action, self expression)”?

The answer is “NO”.

If it’s “no”, so it’s not a conscious thought process.

It’s a subconscious one!

What kind of subconscious thought process is it?

Prior to coming with an idea, or producing actions or expressing self or connecting with others at a more intrinsic level, you had first to evaluate what you face.

To evaluate what you face (= any situation, any event):

– you first collect data – and it may not mean “ALL the DATA”;

– you process them = you evaluate them.

All this happens at a subcounscious level and take no more than a blink of an eye – maybe 2 😉

What means “EVALUATING”?

Evaluating something means you give it a value: a positive, a negative or a neutral value.

So, you make a VALUE JUDGMENT.

 

Basically, you can make a value judgment about anything.

But, sometimes, you are wise enough not to care about something in particular, or to declare you have no idea and are not able to judge. 😉

Your judgment can be accurate or not… simple, isn’t it? 😉

Please, keep in mind,

the VALUE JUDGMENT ALWAYS COMES BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE:

– BEFORE WHAT WE WILL DO, WHAT WE WILL SAY,

– BEFORE HOW WE WILL REACT

– and BEFORE HOW WE WILL ENVISAGE the NEAR or LATER FUTURE!

What kind of Value Judgments do we do?

We make value judgment about the OUTSIDE WORLD – how we see, perceive the surrounding world- and this includes:

=> People: what kind of judgments do we make about people we live with, we work with and where all these will lead us?

=> Priorities, what kind of judgments do we make about priorities, problems, obstacles we face in our lives and in our work lives and where all these will lead us?

=> Processes, what kind of judgments do we make about processes, procedures, policies, rules we face and where all these will lead us?

We make value judgment about our INNER WORLD – how we see, perceive ourselves- and this includes

my Self”, “my Life” and “my Goals”.
